My name is Andrea and I have a love for all things technology. My passion in life is helping people to understand the ways in which technology can help rather than hinder their daily lifestyles. I believe we can incorporate technology into our lives in ways that can allow us to do things better and more efficiently without reducing our ability to experience the world around us.
I’ve been working for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) the past 7 years, and am currently serving as Coordinator of the Division of Information Technology’s (DoIT) Technology Support Center. My daily responsibilities include supervising a team of 10-16 students and full-time employees, curating our FAQ knowledgebase, and improving the end-user technology support experience at UMBC.
I’m working towards obtaining my Masters in Human Centered Computing part time. Other prior educational experience includes:
- Instructional Systems Design, Graduate Certificate – UMBC 2014
- Psychology, Bachelor of Science – UMBC 2012
- Biology, minor
- Sociology, minor
